Just after new year's 2022, I was exposed to COVID despite doing everything in my power to remain safe. I never was able to recover enough to continue working and was eventually let go due to being disabled. I am not eligible for UI since I am disabled. I am trying to get disability set up however, that is a process and I have to survive until then. I am also in need of medical care for my long covid which can be expensive even with insurance. I am mostly bed bound and have been trying to go for short walks when I am well enough.
The disabled and Long Covid community have been indefinitely hung out to dry and I have exhausted all other resources. I need at least $1200 a month to cover everything.
